Dr. Rebecca Benzon graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Manila Central University in 1983 and practiced as a general dentist in Manila from 1983 to 1989. After immigrating to Canada in 1992, she successfully challenged and passed the Canadian National Dental Board Exam in 1997 and began practicing in Edmonton, Alberta.
She opened her first practice in Millwoods in 1998 and another clinic in the Northeast in 2002. Having practiced for around 40 years, she continues to see patients and is well known for her gentle hands and extensive knowledge in the dental field.
When Dr. Benzon is not in the clinic, she loves to travel. She particularly enjoys trying cuisine from different cultures and sightseeing around the world. She not only travels recreationally but also frequently visits the Philippines to lead multiple medical and dental mission trips since 2002. These missions provide free medical and dental treatment to underserved communities in the Philippines. She has also participated in a one week dental missions trip in Brazil with Samaritans Purse in 2000.
Dr. Eleesha Benzon was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and decided to change her pace by attending dental school in New York. There, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry in 2020. Since then, she has been working as a general dentist alongside her aunt and believes in the importance of oral health education and providing the best care to her patients. Eleesha is committed to continually learning and improving her skills as a healthcare provider as she advances her dental career.
Outside the clinic, Eleesha enjoys reading and traveling around the world. She strongly values the community in Edmonton and volunteers with her church to help those in need.
Dr. Ghida Babiker earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta. Originally from Sudan, she brought with her nine years of dental experience before relocating to Canada in 2017—a place she has proudly embraced as home ever since.
Dr. Babiker strongly values the community in Alberta and volunteers with meaningful community initiatives, including the SHINE Dental Clinic, Northern Alberta UofA rotations, and the “Access for All” program which serves the indigenous community. These experiences enriched her appreciation for the importance of accessible and inclusive healthcare.
Outside of the clinic, you can usually find her spending time with her family, enjoying acrylic canvas painting, arts and crafts, meditating, and on outdoor walks.
Dr. Babiker is a dedicated advocate of patient-centered care, placing great value on helping individuals make well-informed decisions about their treatment. Her mission is to ensure every patient feels empowered, educated, and confident in managing their oral health.
